The Department

Student Support and Equity Programs (SSEP) is home to four critical areas dedicated to access, equity and student success: the Educational Opportunity Program (EOP), Project Rebound (PR), Renaissance Scholars (RS) and Undocumented Students Services (USS). While each unit has individualized support services, all of our staff is committed to supporting you through a holistic lens and we tailor our approach to your interests and needs. We are committed to working with you and our campus and community partners to help you reach your dreams of success.

Our Vision

Student Support and Equity Programs (SSEP) aspires to offer model programs and services that continuously evolve to meet the changing needs of our diverse students. Our constituents and colleagues will look to SSEP as the leader in promoting access for underrepresented students; and providing culturally relevant comprehensive and strategic retention services to ensure student success.

EOP

At Cal Poly Pomona, EOP continues to operate today as the University's first and most comprehensive post-secondary access and equity program. Established in 1969, the program serves low-income, typically first-generation students, who demonstrate the motivation and potential to succeed in college.

Project Rebound

Project Rebound is a student support program at CPP that facilitates pathways to higher education for currently and formerly incarcerated individuals, and supports the academic success, professional development and reintegration of participants.

Renaissance Scholars

Renaissance Scholars (RS) is a comprehensive program dedicated to support the success of current and former foster youth attending Cal Poly Pomona in both undergraduate and graduate levels.

Undocumented Students Services

Undocumented Students Services (USS) supports the holistic success of the undocumented community at Cal Poly Pomona. This includes those who come from mixed-status families, TPS, refugee status and undocumented with or without DACA.
